The kids were in the crib and I was strapped to a baby to my back. Ha! It was all starting to form, but it wasn't quite finished. Then I began hosting open houses in my home where over 1 000 people could visit in the span of a weekend. They could purchase anything they wanted in the first floor. Growing Days was founded in my house. Growing Days was more than an extremely successful company, it was as well my family. I was finding that balance of having starting a new venture while also being a mommy. Growing Days just fit. Nora was born in 2013 to be our fourth baby. I loved where my business was heading but I needed a break. I decided to quit working on my antique furniture and spend time with my kids. In the beginning, this was exactly what I needed. In the course of a few months, the phone began to ring. The people who called me were needing help with the interior decoration and remodeling. It was mostly those who visited my house for furniture. In the following months, I began to take on new clients in my own way. In the end, I had many clients, and had an enterprise of renovations to homes. You would probably have amused me if I had told you that it would be the foundation of an DIY Network tv series. As I look back on this situation and think about it, I laugh.
